Software Design

Q Core infusion pumps utilize advanced software developed to provide maximum performance and versatility and to address both current and future requirements.  

GUI
The Q Core GUI was designed in line with the most recent developments in GUI standards, such as in smartphones, allowing quick activation of the most useful functions directly from the main screen without the need for complex menus. The GUI requires minimal training, and is intuitive and easily memorized, ensuring safe and easy operation. The same principles and similar templates are used for all infusion delivery modes, creating a reliable, friendly and effective GUI. 


Very short turn on/off times, clearly marked soft-touch screen buttons, and a back light all help enable fast and safe operation. In all cases where the user is required to enter values, units and ranges are clearly marked. Configuration and inaccessible options are protected by a scalable four lock levels, for maximal safety. Each pump saves up to 8000 history lines, enabling ongoing monitoring and learning. Events can be viewed either directly on the pump screen or through an external software program.

Connectivity
The unique Q Core architecture allows for easy adaption to WiFi protocols, in addition to the basic RS232-based communication port included in each pump. This basic connectivity option combined with additional connectivity protocols means Q Core pumps are adaptable to various environments, as well as ready for future changes and changing conditions and communication possibilities.   

RS232 to USB connectivity 
A quadruple RS232 to one USB hub provided with the Q Core pump provides efficient connectivity between the pump and a PC. This opens the way to installing two USB hubs on a single PC, enabling high-quality data transfer between one PC and eight pumps. 

This robust connectivity enables highly cost effective software updates and provides an efficient, cost effective drug library tool.
